Awards & Scholarships

Regional JSHS Awards:

  • A $500 award to one teacher, honoring their contributions to advancing student participation in research.
  • An expense-paid trip to present their research at the National JSHS, awarded to five finalists at each regional symposium. The National JSHS brings together over 360 participants in a program of educational and scientific exchange.
  • A $2,000, $1,500, and $1,000 undergraduate tuition scholarship is awarded to each of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalists of the regional symposium respectively. For the national student finalists…

National JSHS Awards:

  • A $12,000 undergraduate tuition scholarship is awarded to each of the 1st place finalists in the seven National research paper competition categories.
  • An $8,000 undergraduate tuition scholarship is awarded to each of the 2nd place finalists in the seven National research paper competition categories.
  • A $4,000 undergraduate tuition scholarship is awarded to each of the 3rd place finalists in the seven National research paper competition categories.

Montana Tech Gold Access Scholarship:

The Montana Tech Gold Access Scholarship is a tuition waiver for a total of two (2) semesters. We encourage all high school juniors and seniors interested in attending Montana Tech to apply for this opportunity.

Applicants are required to attend Montana Tech and as such meet current admission standards, which include:

  • Possess a minimum 2.5 GPA;
  • Rank in the upper half of your graduating class;
  • Possess a minimum composite score of 22 on the ACT and Math sub-score of 22.
